Egremont town council present award to Core youth centre

Egremont Town council wanted to show their appreciation for the amazing hard work and dilgence performed by all the staff of CORE youth centre.

Council Chairperson Lena Hogg presented the cheque of £1000 to the centre – centre leaders Carol Woodman and Bob Davies accepting the award.

Egremont working together make a clean sweep

On friday 24th march a cheerful group came together to clear litter from the pathways of Egremont.

The group consisted of Egremont town councillors, volunteers from Calderwood house and staff from WORKS4U. It was a beautiful day as they worked their way from the cemetary entance then along the main road down to the roundabouts and back collecting over 18 bags of rubbish and doing their bit to make our beautiful historic town look at best.

The next community litter pick will be on –

Friday May 19th

– meeting at the Town council office at 0945

– litter picking from 1000am along the main street.
