Every year the town council celebrates the hard work and endeavours of those that work tirelessly and toil in all weathers on their allotments.

At the recent Town Council meeting, Chairperson Neil Ferguson announced the winners of the Town Council allotment competition as follows:


 – Mr Callum Scott (with his daughter peeping at his side) was the winner of the Sandholes allotment site.

– Mr Jim Hardman was the winner of the Bridgend allotment site (please note Mr Hardman also won the John & Brenda Killip cup which is awarded to the best overall plot over the 3 sites and in the photo you can see Mr Killip on the left, Mr Hardman in the middle and our Chairperson Neil Ferguson on the right).

 – Calderwood House with Francesca Jones who were the winners on the East Road allotment site.

Here are all this years winners including this years good citizen of the year winner Mr James Pullen. Chair person Neil Ferguson gave out the awards to the winners thanking them all for their dedication.
